Le Pumpe plays energetic gypsy swing and tunes from the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s, built on two guitars and upright bass. The sound is elegant enough for a ceremony and lively enough to get a cocktail hour talking. Guests who have never heard live gypsy jazz tend to drift toward the band by the end of the first set.
